Holiday Press Release

For Immediate Release

July 3, 2003

Contact: Pamela D. Hayes (860) 586-7506

The Connecticut Police Chiefs Association (CPCA) President, Chief Thomas E. Flaherty, the CPCA Board of Officers and Directors and each and every member of the CPCA urge our motoring public to drive in a safe and sane manner during the Holiday weekend.

Municipal police officers from all of our communities will be patrolling our streets and highways in an effort to reduce accidents, apprehend drunk drivers and keep our residents and guests as safe as possible.

With the expected increased volume on our highways during this holiday period, it is important that each motorist pay special attention to traffic regulations, traffic volume and above all drive defensively.

Our association hopes you enjoy a safe and happy Fourth of July Holiday weekend, but we want you to know that our officers will be actively enforcing motor vehicle laws and seeking hazardous drivers.
