Groton POLICE DEPARTMENT CURRENTLY SEEKING Chief of police

The Chief of Police position involves highly responsible administrative work directing a Municipal Police Department. Work involves responsibility for patrol, crime investigation, juvenile operations, traffic control and safety, traffic accident investigation and related services. Duties include policy development and implementation, department planning and direction, and administration of departmental activities. This position also has the responsibility for making the most difficult law enforcement technical decisions. The work requires that the employee have thorough knowledge, skills and abilities in delivery of police services.
