We are proud to announce the recipients of this year’s prestigious scholarships, honoring individuals who exemplify dedication, service, and a commitment to continued learning in both public safety and higher education. 

Carl Moeller Scholarship Recipients

The Carl Moeller Scholarship supports promising students pursuing higher education, and this year, we are thrilled to recognize Christopher Bryce, Connor Bunnell, Mallory Jennings, and Brayden Rathbun. These students stood out for their academic achievements, leadership qualities, and dedication to making a positive impact in their communities. Allen Ervin Memorial Scholarship

Named in honor of a devoted public servant, this scholarship recognizes officers who demonstrate a strong commitment to professional growth. Officer Alyssa Galicia of the New London Police Department has been selected for the Allen Ervin Memorial Scholarship. Officer Galicia’s passion for community policing and continued learning represents the very spirit of this award.

 

John Manfredi Memorial/Motorola Criminal Justice Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to active police officers in Connecticut who seek to further their education in criminal justice. This year’s John Manfredi Memorial Criminal Justice Scholarship is presented to School Resource Officer Nicole Vartuli of the New Canaan Police Department. Her efforts to strengthen relationships between students and law enforcement, as well as her involvement in the school community, contribute to her selection as the recipient.

 

Robert "Bobby" DiBella Fund Scholarship

The Robert DiBella Fund Scholarship honors officers committed to professional development and leadership. Sergeant Jeffrey Ward of the Southington Police Department has earned this through his exceptional service and innovative leadership, setting a high standard in law enforcement.

 

Congratulations to the awardees. They have shown commitment to service, education, and community engagement, aligning with the mission and values of these scholarships. Their accomplishments are noted, and it is expected that they will continue to contribute to their communities.
