Congratulation to the new CPCA President

The Connecticut Police Chiefs Association (CPCA) congratulates Chief Louis J. Fusaro on being sworn in as President during the 2025 CPCA Annual Meeting held on June 12 at the Farmington Polo Club. The oath was administered by Groton Town Manager John Burt.

Chief Fusaro, who has led the Groton Police Department since 2015, brings decades of experience in law enforcement and military service to his new role. Prior to Groton, he served over 21 years with the Connecticut State Police, retiring as a Major.

A graduate of The Citadel and Western New England University, Chief Fusaro is also an alum of the FBI National Academy and the Naval Postgraduate School’s Executive Leaders Program. He retired from the Connecticut Army National Guard in 2022 with the honorary rank of Brigadier General (CT).

In addition to his leadership roles as the Chief of Groton and on CPCA executive board, he serves on several regional and national public safety boards. CPCA looks forward to his continued service and leadership.
